Five ranked mistakes worth fixing before changing your setup

Diagnose isolated peeks, weak buy coordination, wasted utility, rushed rotations and tired queueing with a simple post-match check.

When a session goes badly, changing settings feels productive. Before rebuilding your setup, check whether the lost rounds share a simpler cause that the mouse sensitivity cannot fix.

Look for an action pattern

Common candidates are peeking without a trade partner, buying against the team's plan, using utility with nobody ready, rotating on an unconfirmed call and queueing after attention has faded. These are not labels for a whole rank. They are situations to verify in your own recordings.

Ask a specific counterfactual

For each selected round, finish the sentence “If I had waited for…, my teammate could have…”. If the answer depends on impossible information or perfect aim, choose a more realistic alternative. Sometimes the original choice was reasonable and the duel was simply lost.

Replace one habit for a week

Select the error with the clearest repeated evidence. Add a cue before the relevant action, such as checking teammate distance before entering. Track chances to apply it, including successful rounds. Do not count only dramatic mistakes. If the issue disappears while a different limitation becomes visible, that is useful progress even before the rank badge changes. Review your process before interpreting every short losing streak as proof that your account is stuck.
