Ascendant to Immortal: sharpen your team's decision windows
Focus advanced review on timing, resource trades and the moments when a coordinated action becomes available or disappears.
The step beyond Ascendant is not simply a demand for faster aim. Small delays, incomplete information and poorly priced risks can decide rounds that already look mechanically competent.
Find the actionable window
Review a round in which your team gained space but could not finish. Note when the second player arrived, when cover expired and when a defender could reposition. A useful correction might be moving together one beat earlier, rather than adding another ability to an already crowded sequence.
Evaluate resources as a trade
Consider whether an early ability forced an important defensive response or merely showed your own position. Preserving an ultimate for an imagined perfect round also has a cost when several usable situations pass. Discuss that cost using the actual round context.
Respect the leaderboard distinction
Immortal and Radiant eligibility is tied to current competitive rules and regional conditions. Do not use a generic RR chart as a guarantee of leaderboard position. Keep a small decision log with the information available, proposed action and actual teammate timing. Compare several similar rounds before changing a successful system. At this level, a precise correction to an existing habit can be more valuable than a complete rebuild after a difficult evening.
