Silver to Gold: stop donating the advantage
Learn to protect a numbers lead, distinguish information from guesses and choose the next fight around the round objective.
A useful Silver-to-Gold focus is what happens immediately after your team gets an opening kill. The temptation is to chase another duel. The better question is whether your next action makes the round easier to finish.
Count players and useful space
After the first pick, notice who can trade whom and which route the opponent must use. If your team already controls the objective, a safe crossfire can be stronger than a solo chase. A numbers advantage disappears quickly when players fight one at a time.
Distinguish “seen” from “probably”
One enemy making noise does not prove the entire attack is there. Describe the evidence and keep an escape or rotation plan. When defending, leaving a site on an uncertain call can give away more space than the information justified.
Review the round after the highlight
Save two clips where you secured a kill but still lost the round. Pause immediately after your kill and identify a lower-risk alternative: fall back, join a teammate or preserve an ability. Do not judge the choice only by whether the following shot happened to land. Your aim is to improve the decision you can repeat, including rounds where luck hides an unnecessary risk.
